1. Download Spelling Borg Evaluation Version from http://uborg.com/spborg/download.html.
   
   
2. When your operating system displays a security warning box, you may choose to Run the setup, or to Save the setup file and run it later.
   
   
3. When the Spelling Borg Setup Wizard screen appears, follow the installation steps to fully install the software.
   
   
   
   
4. Setup Wizard will install Spelling Borg application and Microsoft® Agents in to your system.

1. Run Spelling Borg from your desktop or Start menu.
   
   
2. As a first time user, your copy of Spelling Borg is unregistered (evaluation version). Click Use Evaluation Version button to run the software.
   
   
   
   
3. Type your name (or any other name) as the user name.
   
   
   
   
4. From Spelling Borg screen, select [Start Spelling] message to start a spelling session.

1. From Spelling Borg, click menu: Help/About to open the About screen.
   
   
   
   
2. Your registration UserID is located at the bottom of the About screen (e.g. you@company.com).
   
   
3. You also may copy the UserID to the clipboard by using Copy UserID to Clipboard button, and paste it to other application.
   
   

1. Select [Start Spelling] message to start a spelling session.
   
   
2. One of the spelling agent dictates the word entry, the context phrase for the word. E.g.:
   Word Entry: HYPOCORISM
   Context Phrase: Bill is a hypocorism for William.
   
   
3. Type the answer (the spelling of the word entry) in the answer box and press [Enter] key to submit.
   
   
   
   
4. If your answer is correct, you gain points, otherwise, you might lose points. See How Does The Scoring Work?.
   
   
5. During the spelling session, you may ask the agent to repeat the dictation, or for a hint, etc. See How To Reply with a Message
   
   
6. The session will continue until you've spelled all word entries. You may, however, leave the session and exit the program at any time. Spelling Borg will store your current status for the next session.
   
   

When Spelling Borg need a feedback, you may reply with one of these options:

• Select a reply message from [Select a message to reply] list.
• Use a keyboard shortcut.

• Each spelling title contains 200 word entries.
  
  
• You gain 4 points for each correct answer. You lose 2 points for each incorrect answer, however, if your answer is just slightly incorrect, you lose nothing.
  
  
• The maximum points for each title is 800 points (200 words x 4 points each).
  
  

1. From Spelling Borg, click menu: File/Install New Titles.
   
   
2. Open the Spelling Package you want to install.
   New Spelling Titles are packaged in a Spelling Package, which is a file with .ZIP extention.
   
   
3. After installing the titles, you have to restart the Spelling Borg to access the new installed titles.
   
   

To swith to different User Name, or to add a new User Name:


1. From Spelling Borg, click menu: File/Switch User.
   
   
2. Select the User Name you want to use, or type a new User Name.
   
   
   
   

To delete a User Name from the database:


1. Switch to the User Name you want to delete.
   
   
2. After the User Name is selected, click menu: File/Delete Current User.
   
   
3. You will be prompted to select another User Name after the deletion.
